Alex Trivantage
The Alex TriVantage is a laser system that our dermatologists use to remove tattoos and treat pigmented lesions such as sun and age spots, freckles, moles, and birthmarks. This laser treatment reduces or removes the signs of aging for patients that are bothered by the appearance of prominent birthmarks or pigmentation from aging or sun exposure. Some studies have shown that as many as 50% of all people who get a tattoo later regret the decision and wish to have it removed.
The laser system is among the safest and most effective laser pigment removal systems available because it has the unique ability to target and eliminate only the tattoo or lesion pigment while leaving the surrounding skin unaffected. However, some patients may experience a temporary discoloration or redness at the treatment site. It is important to follow after-care instructions following treatment to ensure the best results.

I’M NERVOUS. WHAT’S IT LIKE?
With the removal of old or unwanted tattoos, results depend on the age and color of the tattoo as well as the overall skin condition, size, type and depth of the tattoo. Smaller tattoos generally require less pulses of the laser in order to produce results while larger tattoos may require more pulses to produce results. All tattoos will require multiple treatments.
For treatment of freckles, moles and birthmarks, treatment results vary for each patient. While most will see results after one treatment, some patients may need additional treatments based on the size of the area to be treated. Freckle reduction for most patients can be seen immediately but may require 2-3 treatments to achieve the best results. Treatments typically take less than 20 minutes per session.
