Don’t Worry About Body Hair During the Holidays. Try Laser Hair Removal.

Among the most common skin concerns today is excess or unwanted hair growth. Many people have exhausted their options, are paying a fortune in waxing services, or are simply sick of shaving every day or couple of days. Fortunately, laser hair removal provides a different option this holiday season – so you can relax and enjoy the moments that matter.

What to Know About Laser Hair Removal

Why Choose Laser Hair Removal?

There are a variety of factors that cause people to opt for cosmetic laser treatments like laser hair removal. For one, the efficiency with which a laser can remove hair is far greater than that of a razor or even waxing products. And the laser treatment session itself is very quick – typically taking less than 30 minutes per session. Compare that to the hours a week you might spend on waxing and you can see why laser hair removal is a more attractive option.

Additionally, only laser hair removal offers the kind of precision – especially on more sensitive areas like the bikini line, underarms, nipples, or the area from the belly button to the pubic bone – that many are seeking. These harder-to-reach places are not only more difficult to shave and wax, but they’re especially prone to ingrown hairs, razor burn, and other irritation. Using a focused beam of light and heat, lasers can remove unwanted hair from these areas and leave them smooth to the touch.

How Long Does Laser Hair Removal Take?

While each session is relatively quick, cosmetic laser treatments are an investment. Because of the powerful force of the laser and the ongoing hair growth cycle, each session can target only a little bit of hair. In the days and weeks following the session, the hair from the treated area will naturally fall out. Within the weeks following that, new hairs will begin to grow in, often replacing coarser hair with finer, softer, and lighter hair.

Eventually, with laser treatments spaced at the appropriate intervals, the hair will completely stop growing in, leaving the area smooth and totally hairless. But with treatment sessions spaced at six to eight weeks, you’re often looking at six months to a year before this process is complete. And since you cannot wax or tweeze the hair throughout the process (since the follicles need to be in place in order for the laser to work) there will be a bit of shaving or growing out the hair required.

However, the best part of laser hair removal is that it’s permanent! While some people may need one annual “touch-up” session, most will see their new hairless skin for life. And since the treatments are non-invasive with no recovery time, you should have no side effects from laser hair removal sessions – except occasionally some very mild redness that dissipates within a few minutes or hours.
